Ensuring Ethical Practices and Transparency in Our Global Supply Chain
At KAERUSKIN, we are unwavering in our commitment to transparency and ethical practices across our global supply chain, aiming to eradicate modern slavery and human trafficking. Our dedication aligns with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 and the United Kingdom (UK) Modern Slavery Act 2015. Verification and Audits
KAERUSKIN employs stringent measures to ensure our operations are free from modern slavery and human trafficking. We conduct regular verification activities, including comprehensive social compliance audits by third-party experts. Suppliers, part of our Tier 1 and Tier 2, adhere strictly to our Code of Conduct, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards forced labor and human trafficking. Audits encompass labor rights, health and safety, environmental standards, ethics, and management systems.
Certification Requirements
Our supplier agreements mandate certification of compliance with the KAERUSKIN Code of Conduct. Suppliers must also ensure that materials meet anti-slavery and human trafficking laws in their respective countries. To reinforce our commitment, suppliers are required to acknowledge KAERUSKIN’s Bangladesh Production and US Sanction Letter, aligning with the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations.
Internal Accountability
KAERUSKIN maintains a zero-tolerance stance on non-compliance with our Code of Conduct. Our internal compliance program holds employees, contractors, and stakeholders accountable, with consequences ranging from warnings to dismissal for repeated violations.
Reporting and No-Retaliation Policies
Transparent reporting procedures, available in multiple languages, empower employees, suppliers, and stakeholders to voice concerns. KAERUSKIN strictly prohibits retaliation against those reporting in good faith.
Training and Capacity Building
Continuous education is pivotal at KAERUSKIN. We provide training to employees and suppliers on identifying and mitigating risks related to human trafficking and slavery. Our Compliance Team stays abreast of international standards through regular participation in external seminars, webinars, and training sessions.
We are devoted to upholding the highest standards of ethical sourcing, ensuring a responsible and transparent supply chain at KAERUSKIN.
